Drum roll please... announcing our WINNERS from our inaugural student art competition!
We had 28 incredible entries from schools across the Territory.
Our team each awarded 3, 2 and 1 points to their favourite pieces (which made for some very hard decisions!).
This resulted in a tie for first place - congratulations to our joint 'Winners', Emery from Milingimbi School and Samuel from Wagaman Primary School.
Our President, Ruth Mirams, picked her preferred piece to receive the 'President's Prize'. This was awarded to Isiah from Milingimbi School.
Emery, Samuel & Isiah will each be presented a $50 gift card to their class on behalf of their win. We're sure they'll have fun convincing their classmates and teacher on what it could best be spent on!
Our 6 'Finalists' each scored points from our team and will be receiving a $25 gift card for their classes, also.
Our remaining entrants, whose pieces we also loved loved loved, will each be awarded a certificate and a pack of quality coloured pencils to continue their artistic ventures.
Another huge thanks to all who entered - and to the parents, teachers and staff who encouraged and assisted their students. We look forward to seeing more entries next year!
