As we approach the holiday season, we want to draw attention to Share the Dignity’s annual Christmas give-back drive – it’s in the bag. This campaign asks people to fill a handbag with everyday essential toiletries. Each bag has the power to give someone fleeing domestic violence or experiencing homelessness a little bit of love, a little bit of hope, and the dignity they deserve.
We invite our members to take part:
- Put together a bag of essential toiletries (please no sprays) and drop it at the NTCOGSO office, located in Palmerston, during business hours. We are a collection point for Share the Dignity, who will distribute the bags directly to women in need.
- If you’re attending Full Council on Saturday 18 October, we will have a dedicated table for donations.
- If these options don’t suit, you can also send a bag directly yourself or make a donation online for the Share the Dignity team to create one on your behalf.
See first hand the impact your donation could make (via short video) here.
Let’s give back as we head toward the holiday season, and help bring joy to those less fortunate.
We will be accepting donations until 30 November.
